Renowned in Britain as one of our foremost glassmakers, his work has been shown widely nationally and in many prestigious international exhibitions. He designs makes and finishes each piece. No moulds are used to create forms or textures. Throughout the variety of the work, Bob exploits the many properties of glass through refraction or reflection, sharpness or softness, transparency or opacity, working with the fluidity of the material and ‘freezing’ it as the desired form is realised. A close examination of his work reveals intricate attention to fine detail and a mastery of shape and form.
