Artist and Jeweller Linda MacDonald

Although Linda MacDonald’s creativity started with fabrics and wool, this quickly turned to sketching the stunning surroundings of Cardross, Scotland where she grew up. She  always painted and sketched as a a child, going on to to study at the Glasgow School of Art. Whilst her interest was initially with drawing, painting and illustration, she began to explore Jewellery.

Making jewellery allowed Linda to explore telling stories through a wearable piece of art. After graduating, she set up her workshop almost straight away and began to develop and create  jewellery collections, taking inspiration from nature and romance.

She now lives with her husband and two children, her children igniting childhood memories and storytelling. Unravelling and exploring the beauty of wildlife and nature has been key inspiration for recent collections.

Working and living in such a beautiful part of Scotland, with the surrounding landscape of Loch Lomond, is the key inspiration for the Linda Macdonald jewellery collections. Inspired by the delicate detail in nature, Linda is now recognised for her unique handmade jewellery, detailing beautiful floral patterns in silver with a hint of gold.
