Heatwave

Lordy it has been HOT. Last weekend we had a much needed break to visit family in Brighton. The grass everywhere was a parched brown as you can see in the photo of Brighton Pavilion. Milly and Emma happily posed in front of the extraordinary building before we made our way to the beach. Even there it was too warm to stay long before retreating home. The photo of Brighton beach was taken in 2018, long before Covid, current heatwaves and all the other nonsense going on at the moment. Look at all that welcome rain in those clouds…Back in Hay we found the best place to stay cool is Hay Distillery, @wildknappgin. They make amazing and award winning gin, sell local beer, and it is a brilliant place to chill. If you haven’t found it yet, seek it out and enjoy!
