Gorgeous red bead drop earrings 4 cm long.

This amazing jewellery is hand made by Annie in London from genuine vintage beads and stones, and comes with a story. Annie’s late husband Mark had a jewellery business and shop in London’s Portobello Road in the 1970s. He became friends with Wolfie, a German Jew who had escaped from a wartime concentration camp. One day Wolfie bid unseen on a whole train load of stones findings and beads that had come from Czechoslovakia, which is known for its fine crystal. He hit the jackpot with a treasure trove of beautiful vintage components stored in old ammunition boxes. Mark made countless pieces of jewellery from this source, and now much later Annie who kept many of the best stones, has begun making jewellery again. The earwires are silver and the backs are stamped from bronze or copper and painted to make them non allergic. Each piece is a unique combination of beads, gloriously colourful and characterful.
